Overview In this role you will design satellite bus structures, collaborating with hardware development teams across design, fabrication, testing, and integration. You will translate requirements into robust, producible mechanical designs and support program milestones. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery within security and quality standards. This position combines hands-on CAD work with systems understanding to enable reliable space hardware.

Responsibilities- Independently develop mechanical design solutions for large assemblies and detailed drawings using solid models
- Translate requirements from stress, dynamics, thermal, manufacturing, etc., into detailed designs
- Collaborate with ATLO, payload, configuration management, and manufacturing to meet program requirements and schedules
- Release accurate, affordable, and producible engineering designs to support program achievements
Key requirements- Bachelor in related discipline or equivalent experience
- Mechanical design knowledge and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Experience with CAD tools and model-based product definition (Creo, SolidWorks, I-DEAS)
- Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (structures, mechanisms, materials)
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- US Citizenship with active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
