Hospice Consultant - Full-Time

Overview

As a Hospice Consultant, you drive referral growth by building trusted relationships with physicians, hospitals, and care facilities. You'll manage a defined territory with a consultative, relationship-based approach to inform partners about hospice eligibility and Affinity's differentiators. You will execute targeted plans, represent the organization at events, and collaborate with clinical teams to educate communities. This role offers the chance to shape growth while delivering meaningful impact in patients' and families' lives.

Responsibilities
  • Build and sustain referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs, and other healthcare partners
  • Educate referral sources on hospice eligibility, benefits, and Affinity's differentiators
  • Identify, qualify, and close referral opportunities by engaging decision-makers and managing objections
  • Execute daily sales activity and territory plans as directed by Sales Leadership
  • Own territory using data and market insights to guide actions
  • Document referral activity, expenses, and market intelligence accurately
  • Partner with clinical teams for community education and outreach
  • Participate in speaking engagements, in-services, trade shows, and community events
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to marketing campaigns
  • Provide market insights and sales strategy feedback to internal teams
  • Support referral education across the organization
Key requirements
  • 2+ years of healthcare sales or marketing experience (preferably hospice, home health, or related)
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence decision-makers, and drive results
  • Strong territory planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Ability to analyze markets, identify opportunities, and execute strategic plans
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory and flexible schedule
