Responsibilities- Deliver scalable fiber optic and copper plant designs with clear specifications
- Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals
- Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues quickly
- Support design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time
- Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS data centers
- Provide creative, out-of-the-box solutions
Key requirements- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
- 2+ years in data center or mission-critical facilities or similar environment
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment
- 2+ years designing documentation (plans, specifications) for construction or permitting
- 2+ years working with fiber optic components, cabling, interconnect products, technologies, and standards
