Overview In this role you lead electrical design and support for global dealer systems, driving advanced control and power networks across manufacturing and field deployments. You will standardize control architectures, evaluate improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient equipment. The position blends hands-on engineering with project leadership and technical mentorship. Responsibilities- Design, develop, and install new machine control and power systems for global dealer equipment; standardize control systems for consistency; propose programs to advance technology, quality, energy efficiency and safety.
- Manage projects: define scope, cost, schedule, and functionality; coordinate multiple engineers, technicians, and contractors; mentor junior staff.
- Consult and communicate: plan operations, set project priorities, visit dealers to study processes, and serve as technical expert for the Technical Support Group and dealers.
- Maintain expertise: develop technical references and instructions in the QMS; attend trade shows and training to stay current; provide training to engineers.
- Drive technology development: apply experience to implement new ideas and improvements.
- Decision making: manage dealer equipment projects to meet goals; collaborate across GES and with Marketing, Sales, Legal, IT, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, and Production Control; act independently to achieve objectives.
- Travel domestically/internationally up to 15%; communicate with staff across levels; willingness to live near Muscatine, IA area.
Key requirements- Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's; or 6+ years with a Master; or PhD with 3+ years; or equivalent experience.
