Overview As Project Engineer for the Magnetics team in Fort Worth, you will drive and steward capital projects for greenfield manufacturing facilities. You'll influence project strategy, oversee external contractors, and coordinate with design firms, EPCs, and internal stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget. You'll help define and improve project delivery processes while ensuring safety and quality. This role offers an early, hands-on path to shape American manufacturing capacity and strategic magnetics initiatives.
Responsibilities- Execute projects and project packages assigned by the Project Manager
- Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction progress and mitigate risks
- Support conceptualization and development of future capital projects and estimate costs/timelines
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, plant operations, HSE, commissioning leads, and cost management
- Review changes to product scope for validity and cost impact, ensure timely incorporation
- Communicate project delivery status up, down, and across the organization
- Develop capital project processes and procedures
- Occasional travel to subcontractor locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation
- Ability to work with ambiguity and act quickly in dynamic environments
- 5+ years in a project leadership role in industrial/high-tech manufacturing
- Industry knowledge in high tech manufacturing facilities preferred
- Medium-sized capital project experience preferred
- Familiarity with commissioning and start-up of equipment and facilities
- Understanding of cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules
- Basic knowledge of contract law and experience with claims management preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project
