Overview

In this Tax Manager role, you will lead complex tax projects for ultra-affluent clients and coordinate multiple work streams within a premier professional services firm. You'll collaborate with tax teammates and partners to integrate tax solutions with comprehensive family office services. You'll address sophisticated planning, entity structuring, and wealth strategies while ensuring high-quality compliance and delivery. This role offers impact through shaping tax solutions for entrepreneurial, tech-savvy families in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Engagement & workflow leadership: manage client engagement teams and daily workflows with high-level compliance and consulting services
  • Advanced tax planning: deliver sophisticated planning, custom entity structuring, and wealth solutions
  • Practice management: develop engagement budgets, resource planning, and manage billing
  • Team development: train and mentor staff-level professionals
  • Operational excellence: oversee project delivery timelines and align tax services with client goals
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of full-time tax compliance experience focused on ultra-affluent individuals/families, partnerships, trusts, and not-for-profit entities
  • Active CPA or Enrolled Agent designation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation preferred
  • Experience with multi-state filing, foreign income reporting, gift/estate tax, and complex capital transactions including equity compensation (stock options, RSUs, 10b5-1 plans)
  • Proficiency with tax software: CCH Axcess Tax, BNA Income Tax Planner, Checkpoint RIA; advanced MS Excel
