Overview

In this role you will support early cardiovascular gene therapy programs by performing optimization, development, and data delivery. You will work within a cross-functional R&D team to enable preclinical studies and platform support, driving reproducible data. You will apply a range of molecular and cell biology techniques to extract and analyze biomolecules and contribute to protocol improvements. This position offers hands-on impact in a leading gene therapy program and room to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and execute experiments to analyze protein, RNA, and DNA from in vitro and in vivo studies for gene therapy programs
  • Independently perform techniques such as cell culture, nucleic acid/protein extraction, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and Western blot/Jess
  • Process and analyze large numbers of samples with high quality and consistency
  • Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and support databases, inventories, and reagent tracking
  • Assist in developing and optimizing experimental protocols and contribute to assay/workflow improvements
  • Generate high quality, reproducible data and assist in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Contribute to study reports and protocols; ensure a safe, organized lab environment and equipment maintenance
  • Coach and support peers to enable efficient day-to-day workflows
  • Follow established protocols with minimal supervision and deliver reliable results
Key requirements
  • MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or BS with 2+ years' relevant lab experience; or High School Diploma with 6+ years' relevant lab experience
  • Hands-on molecular biology experience (DNA/RNA isolation, SDS-PAGE, qPCR/ddPCR, Western blot)
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique
  • Ability to follow established protocols and deliver reproducible results
  • Strong data collection, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn across diverse workflows
  • DNA/RNA isolation

  • qPCR/ddPCR (including ddPCR)
