Overview As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will drive reserving and forecasting for Optum Care Medicare Advantage blocks, partnering with cross functional teams to improve accuracy and transparency. You will develop and maintain actuarial models, analyze health care trends, and present findings to stakeholders to support strategic decisions. The role blends technical modeling with clear communication to influence care delivery and financial planning. Responsibilities- Build and maintain actuarial models for reserving and forecasting
- Analyze drivers of health care trends within models
- Perform mathematical analyses and actuarial modeling to generate insights for management
- Conduct quantitative analysis of actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data
- Communicate results to internal stakeholders
Key requirements- 2+ years of actuarial experience with focus on technical skill development
- Passed 2 or more actuarial exams on the exam track
- Excel (intermediate or higher) including VBA
- SQL (intermediate or higher)
