Overview In this role you will design and support liquid- and air-cooled systems for radar hardware used in harsh environments. You will collaborate with customers and suppliers to define cooling requirements and ensure hardware and processes meet standards. You'll influence the end-to-end cooling solution from concept through manufacturing, with global factory and supplier engagement. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position at RTX where innovative thermal solutions enable mission readiness and defense capabilities. You will work onsite in Marlborough, MA and may travel as needed to sites and suppliers.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with customers to establish cooling requirements
- Perform mechanical design, analysis, and documentation of cooling hardware and systems
- Select components such as pumps and heat exchangers
- Generate and release drawings, manage changes
- Resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
- Ensure product and process meet applicable standards and requirements
- Provide factory and supplier support for international and domestic integration
- Travel domestically and internationally for site visits and supplier engagements
Key requirements- Degree in STEM field with 5+ years of experience or advanced degree with 3+ years
- Experience in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, or Heat Transfer
- Experience with cooling systems (liquid or air)
- Solid modeling tools experience (Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor)
- Willingness to travel and support across sites and suppliers
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
