Overview In this role you will lead electrical design efforts within Jacobs' Federal Buildings Group, ensuring complete and timely deliverables. You collaborate with a technical team to tackle progressively complex projects, mentor peers, and communicate across disciplines. The role blends hands-on design work with stakeholder coordination, in a hybrid Irvine setting. You contribute to mission-critical building systems while advancing sustainable design.

Responsibilities- Prepare drawings and specifications for Electrical Systems
- Create inspection and design reports and presentation materials
- Mentor and support design development in the studio
- Participate in internal and external meetings and document discussions
- Perform routine design tasks under supervision following standards and codes
- Travel to project sites or client offices as needed
- Represent Jacobs on significant matters with internal/external personnel
- Coordinate design with architects and other engineering disciplines
- Conduct materials and system research to support design decisions
Key requirements- US Citizenship
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 5+ years electrical design experience
- Understanding of IBC and Accessibility Codes
- Working knowledge of electrical building systems
- Knowledge of sustainability and LEED guidelines
- Proficiency in REVIT
- P.E. or on track for attaining P.E. (EIT preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in multi-discipline team
