Overview Senior Project Architect at HDR leads multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver architectural projects that enhance community well-being. You coordinate across phases, ensure code compliance, and guide project documentation and QA/QC. The role blends leadership with hands-on detailing, working with clients and regulators to shape impactful spaces. Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary design teams and perform layout and detailing on architectural projects
- Coordinate work across phases and manage schedules to complete documents
- Facilitate owner/client and internal meetings and reviews with authorities for code compliance
- Conduct site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines
- Perform QA/QC and technical reviews of documents
- Assemble and edit architectural specifications
- Coordinate with other disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders
- Lead projects in a dual management role as needed
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor in Architecture
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Registered Architect
- Proficient with Autodesk Revit and related tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
- Experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specs
- Good knowledge of codes and planning skills
