Overview In this role you will lead instrumentation and controls design and analysis for water and wastewater facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects. You'll plan control strategies, design I&C systems, and support construction and commissioning to deliver reliable, safe treatment processes. Responsibilities- Lead I&C design and analysis for water/wastewater projects, coordinating with process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Develop control strategies, diagrams (P&IDs, network architectures), specifications, and construction drawings
- Perform I&C engineering studies, field reviews, and documentation for project delivery
- Support construction, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities
- Review submittals and participate in site inspections
- Assist marketing with pursuit strategies and client-facing presentations
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with remote project teams
Key requirements- 15 years of instrumentation and controls experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Professional Engineering registration (P.Eng.) or ability to obtain within 18 months
- Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA system planning, design, programming, and upgrades
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey I&C needs to clients and project managers
- Experience with project coordination and multidisciplinary teamwork
