Overview In this role you will design and integrate autonomous vehicle electrical systems to meet customer needs. You will drive requirements, select hardware, and oversee system-level design, testing, and deployment with software, technicians, and suppliers. Expect involvement across the full lifecycle-from early demos to volume manufacturing-while maintaining rigorous engineering standards for safety and reliability. Responsibilities- Define and validate system requirements for autonomous vehicles
- Identify and implement integration strategies for electrical subsystems
- Select and qualify electrical hardware to enable autonomy
- Perform system-level design and interface with software and technicians
- Test, deploy, and iterate autonomous vehicle solutions
- Contribute to CRL design efforts from prototypes to production
- Create and maintain design documentation and specifications
- Collaborate with supply chain and vendor across lifecycle
Key requirements- Experience implementing autonomy on a vehicle
- Experience with LIDAR, Radar, cameras, wheel encoders, computing systems
- Experience with CAN Bus and Ethernet
- Proficiency in capturing complex systems in CAD
- Mindset for robust designs and safety
- Experience authoring design documentation (requirements, test specs, memos, hardware specs)
- Ability to work independently and communicate issues clearly in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with working with supply chain and vendors
