Visual Merchandising Coordinator - Pottery Barn

Overview

As Visual Coordinator, you craft seasonal in-store displays that align with cross-functional strategies to drive brand reappraisal and business growth. You partner with merchants and store teams to execute compelling floor sets for the tabletop division and, when needed, support furniture and lighting. You own the end-to-end visual merchandising process from concept to communication, adapting to feedback and solving challenges. This role blends creative vision with hands-on execution in a collaborative, fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and map seasonal assortments with merchants and align concepts to drive sales and brand reappraisal
  • Lead seasonal concept setups and floor-set execution for the tabletop division; support furniture/lighting as needed
  • Ensure full retail assortment placement on features or destinations within floorplans
  • Roll out new strategies and support tiering initiatives across stores
  • Own feature SKU lists and seasonal assortments for photobook communications
  • Provide tabletop visual direction and clear field communications; edit and manage tabletop destinations
  • Split time: 50% office, 50% in retail stores; in-office cadence Mon-Thu onsite, Fri WFH
Key requirements
  • 0-3 years retail or related creative field
  • BS/BA in design, art or related degree
  • Strong creative vision and an inspired point of view
  • Mobility to set floor sets for extended periods using tools
  • Ability to prioritize, plan short- and long-term goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Resourcefulness in problem solving; knowledge of visual merchandising techniques
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Excel
