Overview In this role you will support Vacuum Dewar Fabrication for infrared detectors in a cleanroom environment, driving process development, improvements, and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to certify operators, review WIP, and contribute to yield and throughput enhancements. The position includes presenting findings to stakeholders and applying SPC/DOE methods to optimize processes, onsite in Goleta, CA.

Responsibilities- Develop and lead process development and improvement projects
- Review WIP, certify operators, and perform hands-on processing testing and failure analysis
- Work in ISO Class 5 cleanroom using metrology, alignment, and bonding equipment
- Apply safety protocols and chemical handling in daily duties
- Deliver presentations to stakeholders (verbal/written) on progress and results
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA) to optimize processes
Key requirements- STEM degree (typical) with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in Process, Chemical and/or Manufacturing Engineering
- Ability to read mechanical drawings or schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and chemical handling ability
- Familiarity with Infrared Detector Technology and related equipment and controls
- Experience with SPC and DOE/ANOVA
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to learn engineering/manufacturing software
