Overview Lead the San Francisco Financial Services Tax Practice to drive growth, shape local and national go-to-market strategy, and integrate the SF team with the national group. You will build and develop the local team, partner with cross-functional leaders, and represent the firm in local markets while delivering high-impact tax guidance for Financial Services clients. This high-visibility role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to advance Withum's market position in the bay area.

Responsibilities- Drive growth of the Financial Services tax practice in SF by hitting revenue targets and expanding the team
- Strengthen ecosystem, referral, and alliance relationships in the SF market
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to pursue Financial Services tax opportunities
- Oversee sponsorships, affiliations, and strategic industry partnerships
- Participate in national Tax and Financial Services strategy, marketing calls, and market-facing events
- Ensure appropriate tax expertise and deliverables through collaboration with industry and service lines
- Maintain deep understanding of clients' tax positions, structures, leadership, and risks to proactively meet needs
- Provide visible tax thought leadership in the SF Financial Services market
- Contribute to leadership by sharing insights on tax trends, growth opportunities, and challenges
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
- MBA is a plus
- CPA, JD, LLM, or MST required
- Minimum 8+ years of professional services experience
- Minimum 5 years of DS sector knowledge
- Partner / Senior Manager from a Top 50 CPA Firm is a plus
- Demonstrated strategic leadership and ability to define market opportunities
- Proven business development and relationship management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities
