Military Planning Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead military planning projects from pursuit to delivery, ensuring milestones, budget, and quality standards. You will manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with DoD/DoW clients to develop master plans, analyses, and program documents. You'll facilitate workshops, oversee QA/QC, and drive risk and financial management across complex, data-driven projects. Responsibilities
  • Manage teams of military planners, analysts, and engineers across disciplines
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and train team members
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops and charrettes with stakeholders
  • Conduct in-briefs/out-briefs for leadership and client reviews
  • Perform QA/QC to meet contract objectives and standards
  • Manage project financials and implement corrective actions
  • Lead client meetings to discuss reviews and updates
  • Collaborate with Operations to manage personnel and deliverables
  • Prepare fee proposals and technical narratives for new contracts
  • Assess risks and implement mitigation plans during project delivery
  • Negotiate budget and fees with clients
  • Assist with client development plans and business development activities
Key requirements
  • 7 years related experience
  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Ability to interact with design teams and strong communication skills
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture
  • DoD security clearance and U.S. passport (preferred)
  • Holds AICP, PE, RA, PLA/RLA, or PMP (preferred)
  • Ability to travel internationally (preferred)
  • Experience with DoD/DoW projects and related software
