Overview In this program you join QBE as an Associate Underwriter to build a strong foundation in underwriting while gaining exposure to multiple lines of business. You will support senior underwriters, prepare quotes, and review plan changes, strengthening your technical and business acumen in a global insurance environment. The role sits within a cohort-driven development track designed to accelerate your understanding of the insurance value chain and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with mentors and stakeholders to deliver solid outcomes for customers, with a clear path to a role aligned with your strengths after program completion.

Responsibilities- Review recommendations based on appetite, pricing, coverage, and conditions for new business
- Support management of an assigned book under supervision of a Senior Associate and/or Underwriter
- Maintain and develop relationships with assigned select brokers
- Evaluate risk on current customers and prospects
- Provide timely, professional service to internal and external customers
- Assist with portfolio analysis to track progress toward business objectives and identify opportunities
- Ensure underwriting compliance with business and regulatory requirements
- Support timely and efficient underwriting activities following established guidelines
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with underwriting and insurance coursework (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of customer service principles and processes
- Familiarity with basic computers, software, ICT concepts (preferred)
