Overview As Construction Project Architect at HDR in Arlington, you will be the onsite technical expert, guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex construction challenges. You'll support QA/QC reviews, ensure constructability, and assist with value engineering to deliver high-quality spaces. You will interact with clients, contractors, and project reps, shaping projects from healthcare and civic facilities to research labs. Responsibilities- Represent the multi-discipline architectural engineering team on construction sites
- Lead meetings with clients, contractors, and project representatives
- Perform project observations to assess progress and contract compliance
- Coordinate clarification and enforcement of construction documents and RFI processing
- Maintain records related to claims, change proposals, change orders, RFI, and correspondence
- Demonstrate QA/QC knowledge during reviews
- Contribute to problem resolution across project scope
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Registered Architect
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with architectural contract documents and specifications
- Strong knowledge of codes and planning skills
