Overview In this role you drive embedded processing solutions for secure communications and networking at Anduril. You will collaborate with RF, DSP, firmware, FPGA, software, and test teams to deliver robust FPGA-based systems and optimize firmware development for low-cost devices. You will establish and refine HDL workflows from architecture to system testing, and design microProcessor ICDs to bridge FPGA data paths. This position supports Anduril's mission to bring cutting-edge autonomy, AI, and sensor fusion to defense systems.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with a cross-functional hardware and software team to deliver embedded processing solutions for communications and networking
- Lead FPGA firmware lifecycle activities from algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink through to firmware implementation and sustainment for low-cost FPGAs/SoCs/SoMs
- Establish and optimize HDL firmware development workflows across architecture, design, verification, and system testing
- Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 6+ years designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog
- Experience translating MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations
- Proficiency in C and C++
- Experience with RTOS
- Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
- Familiarity with flight software architectures and embedded development processes
- Proficiency with basic EE test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) and PCB testing
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
