Overview As Tax Principal/Signing Director, you will lead a tax practice in Southern California, overseeing client service and advisory delivery. You drive client relationships, mentorship, and strategic growth within a book of business. You will review engagements, sign deliverables, and stay ahead of tax law changes. This role blends leadership with deep technical tax expertise to expand services for diverse clients and contribute to the firm's growth and culture.

Responsibilities- Lead a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services
- Own all services for clients within a book of business
- Review and sign engagement letters, discuss terms with clients and staff, and approve fees
- Review and approve staff work papers and tax returns
- Sign client deliverables
- Stay current on tax law changes
- Actively develop new business and expand services to existing clients
- Demonstrate commitment to the firm through practice participation and time investment
Key requirements- Bachelor's or master's in accounting, Taxation or related field
- Current CPA licensure required (JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
- 10+ years of public accounting experience in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm
