Overview In this role you drive strategic sourcing and cost reduction for a focused procurement team within International Motors. You will optimize supplier performance, negotiate complex agreements, and analyze total cost of ownership and inventory strategies to secure the best landed cost. You'll collaborate across Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering to deliver value and align with TRATON's mission of transforming transportation. This is a hands-on role with impact on supplier ecosystems and cross-brand synergies.

Responsibilities- Ensure suppliers meet cost, quality, sustainability, and technology objectives; adjust supplier base as needed
- Support recommendations with data and justify sourcing decisions
- Foster strong supplier and cross-functional collaboration for efficiency
- Negotiate complex agreements spanning one-time purchases to multi-year contracts
- Analyze total cost of ownership and cost drivers to support awards and cost reduction
- Apply EOQ concepts and optimize inventory levels, including VMI considerations
- Maintain stakeholder communication with Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering; escalate issues as needed
- Interface with procurement teams from other TRATON brands to develop sourcing synergies
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years in purchasing/procurement OR Master's degree with 3+ years OR 8+ years with lead experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship expected)
- Basic negotiation skills with willingness to develop
