Overview In this role you oversee daily operations and the maintenance of NYPA's power generation facilities to ensure reliability and performance. You work with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, capital investments, and outage planning, aligning maintenance with broader business needs. You will supervise craft personnel, enforce safety and labor relations standards, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance programs. You play a key role in shaping the department's plans, data integrity, and compliance with policies. Responsibilities- Supervise maintenance departments and coordinate daily work for craft teams
- Plan, schedule, and review preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure maintenance follows priority levels and is properly documented
- Develop and use Work Plans, Job Plans, and Job Packages for maintenance
- Co-approve technical maintenance procedures and monitor MRM/Asset Management implementation
- Contribute to annual maintenance budgeting and skill development of staff
- Oversee safety, labor relations, discipline, and performance management for staff
- Manage outage scheduling and coordination with other departments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (Arc Flash, CPP)
- Support cross-functional interface to optimize maintenance programs and outages
Key requirements- 10 years of experience in the field
- Experience supervising craft personnel (preferred)
- Bachelor Degree, preferred
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of maintenance control systems and regulatory compliance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to mentor, coach, and administer discipline
