Overview

As Senior Reliability Engineer for the PAC-3 Launcher Sustainment Reliability Team, you will lead reliability programs that identify hidden failure risks and drive corrective actions. You will surface risks early, quantify them, and collaborate with design, quality, and program management to keep launcher systems on track from concept to field service. You will manage FRACAS, trend data, and reliability metrics to support data-driven decisions and lifecycle cost reduction. This role offers impact across cross-functional stakeholders and opportunities to mentor others in a mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Identify failure modes, root causes, and effects on system performance
  • Assign criticality rankings, document mitigation plans, and track through development phases
  • Update, analyze and trend FRACAS data in Windchill
  • Automate test data analysis and provide metrics to stakeholders via the Corrective Action Board (CAB)
  • Analyze test data and develop reliability growth curves; report findings to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Recommend design or material changes to improve reliability and reduce lifecycle cost
  • Mentor junior reliability engineers and contribute to continuous improvement within the reliability organization
  • Lead the FRACAS process and trend development to provide actionable metrics for program stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience with FRACAS and trend analysis
  • Strong root cause analysis, risk assessment, and data interpretation with large data sets
  • Proficiency with reliability standards (MIL STD 1629A, IEC 60812)
  • Knowledge of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material behavior under stress
  • Ability to manage concurrent analyses and test programs, meet deadlines, and maintain documentation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to present to large groups
  • Final Secret clearance required to start
  • Excellent communication and technical writing
