Overview

In this role, you will provide editorial support to the Joint Staff's senior leadership, ensuring high-level documents adhere to DoD and Joint Staff standards. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to refine issuances, memos, and correspondence for top leaders, including CJCS and SEAC. You drive clear, compliant communication that supports strategic priorities and timely decision-making. You will work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, shaping documents that influence national security discourse. This is a chance to contribute to senior-level messaging in a trusted, integrity-driven team at STI-TEC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide editorial support for Joint Staff senior leadership
  • Assist with development of Joint Staff correspondence (issuances, letters, memorandums)
  • Edit executive-level Joint Staff documents for formatting, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, spelling
  • Analyze document packages with SMEs to revise or rewrite as needed
  • Prepare complete document packages meeting Joint Staff style, organization, and distribution requirements
  • Receive and review JS issuances and publications and route for review and processing
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in English, Communications, or related field with 7 years of experience in communications support for sensitive/high-profile programs OR 11 years of experience
  • Expert writing, editing, and revising documents for U.S. Government senior leaders
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation; attention to detail; consistency across products
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with ETMS2/TMT tasking tools
  • Experience in fast-paced, challenging environments
  • Familiarity with Federal Government
  • Top-Secret clearance
