Overview In this role you will lead category strategy and sourcing for Clinical Trial Management, focusing on FSO, FSP, and related services. You will partner with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to translate study needs into supplier plans that balance cost, quality, speed, and flexibility. You will develop category roadmaps, drive sourcing initiatives, and apply market insights to optimize supplier performance. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role in a hybrid setting near West Chester, PA, offering meaningful impact on global clinical operations and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain category strategies and sourcing roadmaps for Clinical Trial Management services (FSO, FSP, related operations)
- Lead or support sourcing initiatives from requirements to contracting, including RFx, supplier evaluation, and negotiations
- Provide category insights and supplier perspectives to inform decisions and outsourcing models
- Monitor spend, benchmarks, and market intelligence to identify value opportunities and drive productivity
- Support supplier governance, performance management, and continuity for key CRO and clinical operations providers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Development) to tailor commercial approaches
- Apply category management practices and contribute to process improvements across Procurement tools and governance
- Provide project leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams and sourcing partners without direct people management
Key requirements- 7+ years in procurement, category management, or related areas with clinical development or regulated environments
- Experience supporting CROs, FSP/FSO models, and clinical development services
- Understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, clinical outsourcing, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage cross-functional sourcing projects, analyze data, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred; experience leading complex projects or cross-functional teams is a plus
