Overview Join Medpace Bioanalytical Lab as an Analytical Chemistry Scientist to advance LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and HPLC method development for small molecules, metabolites, and biomarkers. You will work within a cross-functional team to support pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetics and biomarker programs, guiding method development, validation, and sample analysis. You'll supervise technical staff and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance. Responsibilities- Develop and validate LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPLC methods for small molecules, metabolites, and biomarkers
- Draft study protocols/plans, acquisition methods, and study reports
- Supervise all phases of bioassays to support pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetics and PD biomarkers
- Supervise technicians for method development, validation, and sample analysis
- Coordinate communication with internal and external resources for sample receiving, quality control, QA, sponsor correspondence
Key requirements- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
- Experience with small molecule drug and metabolite analysis
- Strong project management, compliance, communication, and people skills
- Experience with extraction procedures (LLE, SPE, SLE+, immune-capture hybrid extraction)
- Experience with LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPLC
- Direct working experience in Good Laboratory Practices is preferred
