Overview As Product Manager - Technical, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of RMI's survey-based measurement platform, aligning research with scalable tech solutions. You'll collaborate with media, data science, public policy, and agency partners to design measurement capabilities that scale, automate workflows, and reduce manual vendor processes. You'll build the system connecting survey instruments to operational data, enabling explainable insights into what moves outcomes. You'll evaluate AI/ML opportunities and define when new tech is needed, balancing speed with methodological rigor. Responsibilities- Define product strategy and full lifecycle for measurement products from instrument design to deployment of scalable research infrastructure
- Own audience definition, instrument design, data integration, and output delivery to stakeholders
- Architect data flows linking survey instruments to media logs, audience behavior, earned signals, and programmatic outcomes
- Evaluate and leverage AI/ML tools and LLMs to accelerate research workflows and reduce manual vendor actions
- Define technical requirements (survey instrument APIs, data integrations, attribution frameworks, cloud architecture) and determine when new tech is needed
- Manage external research agency partnerships and long-term build-vs-buy roadmaps for outsourced vs internal capabilities
- Ensure measurement product quality, methodological rigor, and operational uptime
- Coordinate handoffs between campaign execution and measurement systems
- Navigate high-ambiguity environments and adapt methodologies quickly
- Lead technology decisions and contribute to engineering discussions around product strategy
Key requirements- 7+ years in product/program management or related technology roles
- Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience delivering features and weighing tradeoffs in a product
- Experience representing customers and stakeholders in executive prioritization
- Experience in fast-prototyping, piloting, and launching analytic products in an operational setting
- Experience leading and influencing teams; ML/LLM fundamentals including architecture and lifecycle
- Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
