Overview As Accounting Manager, you will lead key close activities and own SaaS revenue recognition, AR, and tax compliance while supporting financial reporting and internal controls. You will partner with senior finance and cross-functional teams to scale processes for a growing technology company. Your hands-on NetSuite expertise will help ensure accurate results and compliant reporting across multiple revenue streams. Responsibilities- Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Oversee SaaS revenue recognition under US GAAP for recurring, implementation, professional services, and other revenue streams.
- Review contracts and billing to determine proper accounting, manage deferred and unbilled revenue, and AR balances.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to resolve revenue and billing discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
- Manage multi-state sales tax compliance, nexus considerations, filings, and coordination with external advisors.
- Oversee customer billing, cash receipts, banking activity, AR aging, and related reconciliations.
- Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation per US GAAP and company standards.
- Support audits with schedules and reconciliations; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability of processes.
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting
- Progressive accounting experience with hands-on GL, close, entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
- Hands-on NetSuite experience
- SaaS/recurring-revenue environment experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition
- Experience with AR, billing, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Multi-state sales tax experience preferred
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills; ability to analyze data and resolve issues
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth environment
- Ability to partner across Finance, Sales, Operations, and other functions
