Overview Lead the creation of a centralized Data Platform Enablement function that raises reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance across CrowdStrike's data platform. You will hire and grow a senior team, shape the operating model, and drive cross-cutting tooling and guardrails that scale with sovereign, multi-cloud environments. Your work enables fast, safe cloud build-outs, end-to-end validation, and measurable improvements in performance and cost. This role combines leadership with hands-on engineering to mold a horizontal service that accelerates the whole data platform.

Responsibilities- Stand up and scale the enablement team, define operating model, recruit engineers and leaders
- Set and uphold technical bar for tooling, harnesses, and guardrails adopted by other teams
- Design org structure and sequencing of teams to align with platform risk
- Automate stateful data platform deployment across clouds, enabling repeatable regional/sovereign builds
- Own time-to-launch metrics for cloud/region and influence destination architecture
- Develop end-to-end validation and health-check systems from sensor to query for all launches
- Standardize reliability, cost, and compliance metrics across data platforms; drive proactive incident response
- Lead cost engineering to detect and remediate cost anomalies and optimize across boundaries
- Establish resilience, scale, and capacity planning including game-day practices and forecast accuracy
- Automate data residency verification and compliance checks as reusable platform capabilities
- Craft executive narratives on reliability and cost; secure cross-functional adoption
- Influence without direct authority to align multiple product teams around the charter
Key requirements- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years leading engineering teams and 2+ years leading through other managers
- Proven track record building and retaining platform/SRE/infrastructure teams in high-growth settings
- Hands-on SRE practice at scale: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident command, blameless postmortems
- Experience owning reliability for large-scale stateful distributed systems
- Fluent with distributed data infrastructure: streaming, OLAP, object storage, large-scale queries
- Ownership of a substantial infrastructure cost portfolio and cross-team optimization
- Influence without authority; ability to win adoption across teams
- Experience under regulatory residency or certification constraints
- Strong executive communication; ability to compress complex reliability/cost stories for leadership
- Perspective on applying AI to reliability and operations and past AI-driven efficiency improvements
