Overview In this role you lead traffic analysis and planning projects, building strong client relationships and guiding multidisciplinary teams. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while marketing services to expand work with clients. You'll coordinate with office leadership and the Transportation Group on project delivery and revenue growth. The position offers exposure to VDOT and local government projects, with a focus on impactful transportation solutions in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities- Manage assigned projects and develop strong client relationships
- Oversee marketing, business development, and cross-selling of services
- Ensure technical quality, profitability, schedule, and coordination of project staff
- Communicate with clients, negotiate scopes and fees, and support billing/collections
- Maintain relationships with clients and collaborate with Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously (mid-sized to larger)
- Supervise technical work and ensure professional client interactions
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional registration (P.E., PTOE, etc.) preferred in relevant states
- 8-10 years of roadway design, traffic and transportation engineering experience (VDOT/local Virginia projects)
- Strong understanding of project accounting and ability to manage multiple project schedules and budgets
- Experience in marketing and supervising technical staff
- Proficiency with MicroStation and traffic analysis software (Synchro, SimTraffic, Trans Modeler, VISSIM)
