Overview As Site Supervisor, you will oversee Receiving, sample logistics and waste management to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations. You'll lead a team across shipping/receiving, inventory, and hazardous waste activities, coordinating with lab personnel, vendors, and SGS sites. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and process improvements to support reliable sample handling and disposal. Responsibilities- Oversee Receiving operations, sample logistics and waste management
- Perform shipping/receiving tasks and verify materials received as ordered
- Prepare shipments with cost-effective courier options
- Maintain field equipment calibration and waste storage compliance
- Manage sample retention warehouse and disposal of samples
- Site Haz-Waste Specialist duties including inspections and regulatory storage per TCEQ
- Coordinate with coordinators, lab personnel, SGS locations, and vendors for accurate requests
- Ensure OSHA compliance in waste management through vendor coordination and tracking
- Order supplies and manage receiving/waste management inventory
- Oversee facility fleet trucks: maintenance, registration, inspection
- Assign access control (badges/H2S monitors) for staff
- Maintain security systems (gates, cameras) across the facility
- Supervise staff: hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and discipline
- Conduct monthly meetings to discuss policies and performance improvements
- Track Safety Council training and ensure random drug testing is current
- Review and approve timecards, including PTO, in the timekeeping system
Key requirements- High School degree or GED
- 5+ years of transferable experience in shipping/receiving or office management
