Overview In this role you will lead the fleet operations and maintenance for the OpCo truck fleet, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant performance. You will supervise the shop, coordinate maintenance programs, and drive improvements in fleet utilization. You'll work with cross-functional teams to prioritize activities, maintain records, and foster open, trust-based relationships internally and externally. This is an opportunity to shape fleet strategy and support the company's logistics excellence in food distribution.

Responsibilities- Oversee mechanic shop operations to ensure efficient maintenance and repairs
- Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate fleet activities and priorities
- Conduct fleet utilization studies and define replacement criteria
- Ensure safety regulations are followed
- Mentor and lead staff in compliance with laws and policy
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and oversee inspections and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair trucks, trailers, and related equipment
- Prepare and maintain records and reports
- Maintain a clean shop environment
- Develop strong interpersonal relationships internally and externally
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4-6 Years of experience with fleet equipment maintenance
- Team lead or supervisory experience with DOT regulations knowledge
