Overview

In this role you lead maintenance operations for airframe and powerplant activities, ensuring safety, quality and on-time aircraft support. You will supervise teams across locations, manage schedules and training, and coordinate engineering support to keep missions on track. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, compliance with FARs, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable aviation services. You will work within Bombardier's safety driven, growth oriented culture and contribute to high profile aircraft programs. This is a hands-on leadership position at a global site, shaping maintenance performance and team capability.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise assigned employees and manage performance reviews, development, and staffing decisions
  • Coordinate unscheduled maintenance and support at locations outside Repair Station
  • Ensure maintenance aligns with Repair Station / Quality Manual, Site Operating Procedures and FARs
  • Optimize resources and productivity; request engineering support for product lines as needed
  • Represent Customer Project Manager in their absence and support tooling and parts coordination
  • Administer team policies, manage timekeeping, attendance, and leave
  • Address shop floor issues, facilitate cross-department meetings, and oversee safety/compliance
  • Monitor housing/facilities for CFR compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage with BAS Network, transfer SAP work orders, and produce shop floor efficiency reporting
Key requirements
  • 3 years of aircraft heavy/line maintenance experience
  • 2 years leadership/supervisory or lead experience (aircraft maintenance preferred)
  • A&P Certificate or equivalent FAR part 65 certification
  • Working knowledge of applicable FARs (part 91, 121, 135, 145)
  • Working knowledge of jet aircraft maintenance inspection programs
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety rules in aircraft maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
  • Leadership and coaching ability; training capability
  • Planning and organizational skills; workload coordination for multiple projects
  • Computer literacy for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and email
