Overview In this role you lead multiple engineering teams to deliver scalable software platforms for Direct Supply, collaborating with VP Technology and cross functional partners. You will coach engineers, drive quality and timely delivery, and support the professional growth of direct reports. You'll steward technology strategy and platform initiatives that enable value for external customers. Responsibilities- Lead multiple engineering teams in coordination with VP, Technology
- Contribute to broad technology strategy with other leaders
- Develop scalable, reliable, and cost efficient products and platforms
- Deliver software programs on time and on budget with high quality
- Foster relationships with external customers and coordinate with their tech teams
- Mentor teams to strengthen craftsmanship, platforms, and architecture
- Ensure project commitments are met with quality and within budget
- Balance resources and grow team capabilities to deliver business value
- Deliver Technology Platforms for use across Direct Supply
- Align project goals with business outcomes and speak to quality with stakeholders
- Oversee development processes with Architects, Leads, and Analysts
- Prioritize reducing operational load and align teams to business goals
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 6+ years IT and Software Engineering experience including design and development
- 1+ years of experience leading technical professionals and software teams
- Experience leading in large technology platforms or large organizations
- Experience with software and database design concepts
- Strong technical experience in .NET, Web, and Mobile development and OO design (C++ and/or Java)
- Track record of technology introduction and process improvement
