Overview As a traveling Quality Control Manager, you lead the project quality program and coordinate commissioning across industrial projects. You'll direct startup plans, testing, and closeout activities, working closely with owner representatives and the project team. Your role ensures on-time delivery, compliance with specifications, and effective documentation. This position offers field leadership with a focus on quality, safety, and seamless transitions from commissioning to handover.

Responsibilities- Direct and manage project commissioning, including startup plan, schedule and functional testing
- Oversee commissioning inspections to meet customer expectations and specs
- Lead project closeout activities (operational manuals, model turnover, training)
- Main on-site contact with owner and representative; resolve commissioning issues
- Participate in factory witness testing as applicable
- Manage and implement the QC Program and provide certifications/docs
- Coordinate QC/inspection personnel and testing labs across three phases of control
- Organize mutual understanding meetings with owner and subcontractors
- Conduct weekly QC meetings and participate in subcontractor meetings
- Monitor work activities using three phases of control and daily progress reporting
- Coordinate pre-installation conferences with subcontractors and follow-up inspections
- Document all quality inspections and meetings; manage QC specialists and testing personnel
- Review submittals for accuracy and compliance; ensure efficient shop drawing approval process
- Communicate quality information for improvement to owner, PM, superintendent, and subs
- Review and ensure effectiveness of submittal/shop drawing processes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Minimum of six (6) years of construction QC/QA experience
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proven history of leading and mentoring others
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents; knowledge of methods and materials
- Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication
- Ability to balance multiple projects with deadlines
