External Reporting Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead external financial reporting and SEC compliance to ensure accurate and complete filings. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain policy, controls, and timely reporting while applying technical accounting guidance on complex transactions. You will act as both strategic advisor and hands-on contributor, shaping the company's external reporting framework. This is an opportunity to drive rigorous financial reporting in a large, multinational environment and support governance with auditors and legal counsel.

Responsibilities
  • Manage quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements) with accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate external reporting calendar, milestones, and review processes with internal teams, auditors, and legal counsel
  • Support XBRL tagging, disclosure controls, and SEC filing activities
  • Maintain a strong control environment for external reporting and coordinate with SOX stakeholders
  • Assist in establishing initial external reporting controls to support 302 and 404 readiness
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX compliance
  • Evaluate transactions for proper U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC treatment; provide technical accounting guidance
  • Lead process improvements and manage special projects related to SEC reporting and recurring processes
Key requirements
  • CPA designation
  • 7+ years of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or SEC reporting experience
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC requirements (Reg S-X, Reg S-K), and public company reporting practices
  • Experience with a large accelerated filer, Fortune 500 company, or complex multinational organization
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate with senior leadership
