Overview In this role you will guide multinational clients through the tax implications of international work and payroll across jurisdictions. You'll coordinate global payroll for international assignees and help implement tax compliance processes using leading technologies. You will work with cross-functional teams within KPMG's Business Tax Services to deliver strategic tax and payroll solutions for executives, contributing to a collaborative, innovative culture.

Responsibilities- Analyze tax implications of international work and file returns in multiple jurisdictions
- Assist clients with payroll operations globally, including tax withholding calculations and structuring international compensation
- Process payroll for international assignments and split payrolls as needed
- Coordinate with country-specific payroll providers for setup and ongoing management
- Help clients implement processes and technologies for tax compliance and planning
- Support clients in responding to IRS or other tax authorities
- Senior Manager: lead team development, training and mentoring
Key requirements- Minimum five years of relevant experience in Tax, HR, International Assignment Compensation and Payroll; Big 4 experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field; CPA/JD/LLM/EA or other approved credentials
- Knowledge of international assignee tax and multi-jurisdiction issues
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
- Strong technical skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); critical thinking and organizational skills
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Senior Manager: minimum eight years of relevant experience; ability to lead and motivate a team
