Overview

In this role you drive design development and documentation for diverse projects within Stantec's Dallas Buildings team. You'll lead design and coordination with clients, consultants, and internal staff, shaping project outcomes and ensuring quality. You'll manage schedules, budgets, and code compliance while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with authorities for permits. This position offers exposure to large-scale projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration in a culture that values sustainable, integrated design. You will help advance the firm's mission to enhance quality of life globally through thoughtful architecture and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage design development, production, and documentation from concept to construction
  • Forecast project needs, develop work plans, and coordinate team activities to meet timelines and budgets
  • Identify and resolve design challenges, ensuring adherence to firm standards and best practices
  • Produce and oversee architectural and technical details with strong knowledge of building systems and construction administration
  • Support on-site construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination
  • Maintain understanding of budgets, schedules, codes, accessibility standards, and jurisdictional requirements
  • Manage internal project teams and maintain client, owner, consultant, and contractor relationships
  • Coordinate with authorities to obtain permits and approvals
  • Mentor junior staff and promote professional development and quality standards
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, professional environment
Key requirements
  • Experience managing projects across multiple scales, including large projects valued at $30M+
  • Strong architectural and detailing skills with proficiency in construction administration
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with external partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written communication skills; public speaking and networking confidence
