Electrical Project Manager - Dallas, TX

Overview

In this role you lead electrical project delivery up to $10 million, driving profitability and client satisfaction. You will coordinate with project superintendents, engineers, and clients to plan, schedule, and execute projects. You'll manage risk, pricing changes, and subcontracting while fostering long-term client relationships. This position offers impact through effective team leadership, strategic liaison with stakeholders, and delivery within scope and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned projects in partnership with the project superintendent
  • Evaluate contractual scope and establish project objectives and standards
  • Plan staffing and coordinate with regional leaders and PMs
  • Liaise with prime client and A/E contacts to align schedules
  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts
  • Monitor project progress and maintain master schedule and variance reports
  • Manage project finances including costs, billings, and cash flow
  • Manage risks and implement corrective measures; pursue change orders
  • Ensure contract-compliant document controls and progress meetings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, GC and subcontractors
  • Supervise/mentor other PMs and assist as needed
  • Handle additional assignments as required
Key requirements
  • 5-10 years of construction design, finance, and management experience
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities
  • Strong project management skills including documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and negotiating
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills and ability to learn new software systems
  • Ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize performance
  • OSHA-30 certification (must be obtained within 6 months if not already certified)
  • 4-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or construction science (or commensurate technical training and experience)
  • Employment may require jobsite access compliance with partnering GC/Owner requirements
