Overview As a Mechanical System Design Engineer in Boeing's Air Dominance division, you will develop and mature air vehicle subsystems and components, delivering defined concepts to engineering, production, suppliers, and customers. You'll apply 3-D CAD and other methods to validate designs across the lifecycle, influence supplier activities, and explore technologies for future aircraft. This role offers impact through cross-functional collaboration on current and emerging programs in the St. Louis region.

Responsibilities- Develop, integrate and document subsystem requirements to establish system design
- Create and modify subsystem and component designs using 3-D CAD and other methods to define products for teams and suppliers
- Analyze and verify systems and components by integrating analytical results and test data
- Manage supplier development, testing and production activities to optimize design and meet program goals
- Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve development efficiency and quality
- Investigate emerging technologies to conceive concepts for future product designs
- Work under general direction
- Level 4: Lead performance, integration and test analysis to ensure requirements met
- Assist with supplier development and technology investigations
- Operate under minimal direction
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials)
- Level 3: 5+ years related experience or equivalent
- Level 4: 9+ years related experience or equivalent
- Experience using NX / Teamcenter and reading 2-D drawings
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearance (Secret) Post-Start
