Overview As Electrical Reliability Engineer at Domtar's Hawesville mill, you lead design engineering and project management for electrical systems across projects up to $15M. You will support mechanical/process initiatives, manage contractors, and drive safety-focused engineering and start-up activities. Responsibilities- Design engineering and project management for electrical/systems
- Provide electrical support for mechanical/process projects and DCS maintenance and software revisions
- Manage contractors and lead engineering workflow improvements
- Develop specifications, scoping and cost estimates for electrical projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues; coordinate start-up and verification
- Lead project teams including operations, maintenance, and contractors
- Ensure design safety, process safety, and contractor safety in all stages
- Assist Maintenance Department in equipment upkeep across the mill
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing applications
- Adherence to safety standards and embedding safety into project design
- Experience in motor controls, AC drives, PLCs, and power distribution
- Project management experience for large and small projects up to $15M; coordination of field installation and start-up
- Electrical troubleshooting skills; on-call availability for after-hours emergencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse crafts
