Overview In this role you design warehouse layouts and pallet racking for Prologis Essentials customers, transforming operations data into detailed, code-compliant AutoCAD designs. You collaborate with engineers, estimators, sales, and vendors to propose practical, cost-effective solutions and support permitting and handoff. You verify site conditions and ensure accurate documentation for project success. This position blends technical design with cross-functional coordination to improve storage capacity and efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities- Meet with customers to assess warehouse operations, storage requirements, productivity goals, budgets, and site conditions
- Develop detailed AutoCAD warehouse layouts and pallet racking designs addressing access, operations, and building/fire/egress/safety requirements
- Prepare material lists and coordinate with structural engineers, manufacturers, and vendors for material selection, constructability, and cost-effective design
- Partner with estimation teams to distribute RFQs, develop pricing inputs, and support customer proposals
- Present design concepts to customers and provide technical support to Sales during meetings and reviews
- Prepare project handoff documentation including dimensioned drawings, stamped coordination, consultant drawings, vendor quotations, and permit-submittal materials
- Verify warehouse conditions and pallet racking materials onsite and communicate design and project information to Project Management
Key requirements- 1+ years of experience in warehouse design, material handling design, warehouse optimization, or similar role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to apply structural engineering principles and material-selection considerations in design solutions
- Ability to communicate technical design concepts clearly to customers and internal stakeholders
