Overview

In this role you support a senior asset management team to oversee Real Estate Equity, Debt, LIHTC, and related investments, driving value through planning, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. You will help shape asset strategies and reporting while working with operating partners and finance, compliance, and legal teams. The role ties to UIG's mission of expanding access to affordable housing and community growth through impact-focused real estate investments. You will be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that combines financial rigor with social impact.

Compensation / Benefits
  • base salary: $150,000-$225,000

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior team members in managing a portfolio of Real Estate Equity, Debt, LIHTC, and related investments.
  • Develop monthly cash flow projections and support leasing strategy and budgets.
  • Prepare business plans and maintain asset performance models; oversee third-party service providers.
  • Help execute debt strategies and maximize asset value through loan asset management.
  • Contribute to asset strategy development with AM leadership and operating partners.
  • Support asset disposition processes including negotiation, memorandum drafting, and closing.
  • Monitor covenants and compliance for tax credit and debt transactions.
  • Conduct market and portfolio analyses to update investment assumptions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Compliance, Legal) and external partners.
  • Maintain internal performance reports for tracking and reporting.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, accounting or math
  • 2-3 years of real estate experience
  • Advanced real estate modelling skills with Excel; Argus a plus
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present strategies concisely
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated and team player
  • Passion for solving challenges facing underserved communities
  • Interest in public sector collaboration and real estate impact investing
