Overview

In this Fleet Manager role, you will oversee long-term engine maintenance contracts for airline customers, balancing profitability with reliable engine operations. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and global MRO partners to manage contracts, finances, and day-to-day operations. You'll translate contractual obligations into actionable plans, guide dispute resolution, and drive improvements that protect profitability. This role offers impact across commercial and technical domains in a historic aerospace leader. You'll shape contract strategies and work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and RTX.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support to manage regular airline customer interactions and ensure contract services and reliable engine operations.
  • Drive long-term profitability for assigned contracts and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate engine removal forecasts and maintenance activities with global MRO facilities; set technical guidance for optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure contract obligations are met, hold stakeholders accountable, and negotiate solutions to disputes and unpaid invoices.
  • Propose and implement strategies to optimize contract profitability and de-risk key provisions.
  • Demonstrate leadership and initiative to solve complex customer and contract problems with data-driven decision making.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree with 10 years cross-functional teaming experience (or Advanced degree with 7 years)
  • Cross-functional problem-solving and external collaboration experience
  • Experience in financial analysis or business case development (preferred)
  • Prior customer-facing experience in technical or business roles (preferred)
  • Strong communication, influencing, and leadership capabilities
  • Understanding of gas turbine engines, airline operations, and engine maintenance practices (preferred)
