Overview In this role you support field engineering on major LNG and energy projects, ensuring safe, quality-driven execution. You work with cross-discipline teams to plan, package, and turnover systems, while aligning with Bechtel's standards. The position offers mobility across units and locations, contributing to high-impact infrastructure in the Gulf Coast region and beyond. You will shape field processes and inspection programs that drive construction progress and compliance.

Responsibilities- Assist the PFE in establishing and maintaining field engineering and construction programs
- Maintain project document control and ensure use of latest documents
- Develop integrated installation plans with area and discipline superintendents
- Ensure work package generation supports the construction schedule
- Prioritize work for multi-discipline field engineers and provide direction
- Verify and submit commodity quantities weekly
- Assist in development and implementation of ITPs
- Perform quality control inspections and document results
- Ensure understanding and adherence to project quality requirements
- Liaise with design engineering to resolve issues
- Assist in Field Change Documentation
- Develop technical sections of field subcontracts
- Scoping of front-end work packages
- Develop construction progress reports and quantity forecasts
- Ensure material requisitions and receipt inspections support schedule
- Monitor field costs and assist in cost forecasts
- Support preparation of construction schedules and as-built documents
- Conduct system/area turnovers
- Perform annual goal setting and reviews with field engineers
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
- Direct Hire experience, preferably lump-sum
- Experience in design and/or construction of LNG facilities preferred
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and databases
- Familiarity with Bechtel work processes and BSAPs (Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Agile, Navisworks) an asset
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to conduct physically demanding field inspections in hot/humid conditions
