Responsibilities- Define and execute the engineering strategy for application systems aligned with Crop Care roadmaps
- Lead system architecture development, technology selection, and platform scalability
- Ensure delivery of reliable, high-quality application systems meeting performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory requirements
- Drive innovation by integrating new technologies and product enhancements
- Oversee large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs with budget responsibility
- Ensure effective planning, resource allocation, and delivery across concurrent projects
- Enforce engineering processes including validation, design reviews, and lifecycle management
- Lead managers and senior technical professionals across application engineering disciplines
- Build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Service, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain for integrated delivery
- Represent the application engineering function in senior leadership discussions and governance forums
- Influence broader engineering strategy, standards, and technology direction across Crop Care
- Drive best practices in quality, safety, compliance, performance, and engineering rigor
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and long-term workforce planning
- Ensure alignment with global engineering standards and AGCO processes
- Accountability for performance and results of a broad application module systems portfolio
- Lead across multiple teams, disciplines, or sites, impacting product performance, reliability, and lifecycle costs
- Influence architecture, technology selection, and risk management
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related); advanced degree preferred
- Experience in agriculture equipment, off-highway, or mobile machinery systems
- Background in application systems (e.g., spraying, material application, fluid systems and chassis)
- Experience leading global or multi-site engineering teams
- Significant engineering leadership experience within product or systems development
- Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering programs and cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of systems integration, module design, and product lifecycle management
- Proven ability to influence technical strategy and organizational direction
