Overview As a Senior CPA in CBIZ, you help manage client engagements, lead tax compliance and advisory work, and grow trusted relationships with middle-market clients. You will supervise staff, review complex returns, and drive efficiencies across engagements. Your work supports CBIZ's mission to deliver actionable insights and grow client value through strong technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities- Review federal and state corporate returns and high-level partnership returns
- Train and supervise staff; review and evaluate their work
- Perform evaluations of lower-level staff
- Manage compliance engagements from budgeting to scheduling and staffing
- Suggest improvements to increase departmental or engagement efficiencies
- Build and maintain client relationships and gain understanding of client business
- Perform tax research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting or related field
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Active CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Strong verbal and written communication across all organization levels
