Overview

In this role you will lead strategic medical education programs for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, shaping how medical education aligns with client objectives and agency strategy. You will serve as the primary liaison across medical, program management, creative, and finance teams to deliver impactful, compliant programs. You'll guide cross functional teams, mentor junior colleagues, and drive growth through new and existing business. The role blends strategic oversight with hands on program development, including live/virtual events and digital initiatives, in a global context. Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction for assigned accounts and align with agency strategy
  • Lead development of tactical concepts for annual brand planning
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor
  • Manage cross functional client teams and communications
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Oversee account budgets, SOWs, and financial reviews
  • Lead development and execution of medical education programs (live/virtual events, content, digital)
  • Ensure regulatory/compliance adherence across programs
  • Contribute to new business pitches and growth opportunities
  • Stay updated on trends/AI to enhance deliverables and creative thinking
Key requirements
  • 7+ years in healthcare marketing/communications with focus on medical education
  • Proven track record managing and growing client accounts
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech industries, regulatory/compliance, and global markets (a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as an extension of leadership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; cross discipline collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel domestically and globally
