Overview In this role you will lead construction field services initiatives across the western United States, starting with Western Colorado. You will drive business development, plan and manage projects of varying size, and coordinate multi-project delivery with internal teams and external partners. You'll cultivate client relationships with federal, state, and local agencies while guiding project delivery through traditional and non-traditional methods. This is a hands-on, collaborative opportunity to shape infrastructure programs and contribute to HDR's employee-owned culture and legacy of quality.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct and manage construction contracts and projects of varying size and complexity
- Coordinate resource management for multiple projects concurrently
- Develop and cultivate client relations with federal, state, and local agencies and other entities
- Support proposal development and project delivery across traditional and non-traditional delivery methods
- Coordinate with multiple consultants, contractors and agencies
- Contribute to program management projects and sequencing across HDR's practices
- Participate in recruiting engineering and construction professionals to deliver projects
- Maintain professional credentials
Key requirements- Minimum 20 years of project management experience
- MS preferred; PE or PG preferred
- Extensive knowledge of FHWA and CDOT policies and procedures
- Strong marketing and business development skills and industry contacts
- Excellent communication, leadership, planning and mentoring abilities
- Experience managing 10+ employees
- Bachelor in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam)
